Precautions For Laying Plywood

1. The road surface is leveled only when the keel is strong
The uneven ground with keel hanging in the air makes it easy for the plywood to make noise when stepped on. If the keel is not laid firmly, it is easy to have the same condition, so it should be checked after the keel is laid. You can step on the keel with both feet and use shaking to check if the keel is strong. If it is not strong enough, structural reinforcement is needed. At the same time, the distance of the keel is adjusted according to the specific situation on site, generally ranging from 40CM-60CM.
2. Pay special attention to fixing and not moving
To fix the plywood and keel, first use a hand drill to drill a hole, and then fix them in place. The diameter of the steel nail should exceed the diameter of the eye.
3. The keel needs to be dried or rust proof
The general moisture content of plywood is around 6-12%. Therefore, when using wooden keels for paving, the wooden keels must be dried quickly to prevent the outdoor plywood from quickly getting damp due to the large difference in environmental humidity, which may cause the plywood to deviate or the paint to crack; If steel keel is used, rust prevention should be done at the welding joint.
4. Communicate color difference issues in advance
Because the raw material of outdoor plywood is wood veneer, there may be color deviation. After being made into finished products, the color of each plywood may vary. Therefore, before formal laying, it is necessary to communicate with the customer first. After the customer confirms, plywood with similar colors can be directly screened out and laid first, and then the plywood with color deviation can be adjusted to make the overall laying effect less likely to have significant differences. The difference in color will vary depending on everyone's perception of color.
5. Don't forget about leveling work
After laying a row of plywood, the installation personnel should set standards based on drawing straight lines parallel to each other. If it is not vertical, it needs to be adjusted immediately, otherwise it will harm the laying of the floor behind, and there will be too many gaps or triangular joints in the paving.
6. Reasonable pre embedding of gaps during installation
Outdoor plywood, due to its preservation of the characteristics of wood, is easily affected by the dryness of the natural environment. Therefore, when installing outdoor plywood in various regions, it is necessary to scientifically and reasonably embed gaps based on the annual average moisture content of each region. The moisture content is generally around 6-12%. If the local average moisture content for the current year is higher than this moisture content, it is required to embed gaps in advance. The more errors there are, the more gaps are reserved.
7. On site health protection and safety
Before installation, the plywood should be transported to the construction site 24 hours in advance during rainy weather. After the quality of the sampling inspection is qualified, dismantle the outer packaging of the floor and discharge it vertically. Balance the plywood with the natural environment on site. That can reduce the independent variable of floor swelling and collapse after assembly.
8. Maintenance work needs to be done well
After three months of paving, it is recommended to do maintenance once, and then follow the plan to do maintenance every year or every two years. The maintenance steps are very simple, which are milling, cleaning, and painting. This not only increases the service life of the plywood, but also maintains the aesthetic effect of the plywood paving.
